John Abraham wrote this touching story about his dad, Jack E. Abraham on December 7, 2021.
This is my Dad Jack E. Abraham born Dec. 7, 1922 , 99 years ago. He passed in 2016.
He went to the University of Kentucky & graduated in 1953. He served in WWII in Germany 1942-1945 and received a Purple Heart.
He was an accountant for the IRS for 30 years. He was a great supportive father a wonderful husband and a very good business man. He treated people with respect and was always the most honest dependable person I have ever known. He spent his last years in a retirement home in Longwood FL. During those years we spent a lot of time together.
That is the second reason I wrote this short story is to urge all my friends who have aging parents to spend as much time with them as you can. I cherish those times as much as any in my life. He taught me a lot about life, love and how to treat others.
I miss you Dad! I just wanted my friends to know that he was my hero. Happy Birthday Pops!
