The 66th Reunion held in Columbus, Ohio, was a real winner! Many thanks to Selma Bassett Edinger and David Rahal, co-chairman, and all the people who helped them. We liked it there so much, we are thinking of returning real soon! The Marriot North welcomed everyone with open arms and the derbakie pounded all night!. The accomodations were really nice and the indoor outdoor pool got a lot of use (Larry Jamra was seen sunning himself accompanied by adoring friends) as did the exercise room (mostly it was Ashley North, Lucille Kerbawy DeGroff's granddaughter, and Gianna Michael, pretty pre-teens, seen using the exercise room)! 

There were 7 scholarships awarded in 1998 at the Columbus Reunion. Many positive comments were made to Diann Dee Michael about the newsletter and we are going to continue to develop the newsletter and the mailing list as much as we can.

The following Board Members were elected September 1998 to their first terms: Steven Ramey and Christy McCoy. Welcome aboard!​

​There is a committee formed to plan and develop a special trip to the Kfeir, Lebanon, in the year 2000! The Committee is headed up by Mydina Thabet and the young people are really excited about this idea. This will be a once in a lifetime event!

There was a proposal to host the 1999 Reunion in San Antonio, Texas, made by John Thabet and his daughter, Becky Thabet Schultz. The Board had a discussion and took the matter under advisement. The location of the 1999 Reunion is still to be determined. Prince Edward Island Kfeirians had proposed their site numerous times, but again and again stated they were not ready. No other city came forward this year to make a proposal. Watch here for further updates in this issue.

We couldn't help but notice the lovely duo, Samira Thabet and Monica, a wonderful resemblance!

Gianna Michael, daughter of Diann Michael of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Ashley North, daughter of Clair and Virginia North of Ann Arbor, MI, belt out the theme to TITANIC. Every young girls' heart felt theme song these days.

Ashley North, Grandaughter of Lucille Kerbawy DeGroff and Gianna Michael, daughter of Diann Michael, met at the Reunion when they were 3 years old. This year they will be nine. We look forward to watching these lovely dolls grow up before our very eyes.
