August 12, 2020 – The Kfeirian Reunion Foundation Needs Your Support
and the September 4-5, 2020 Virtual Reunion Schedule

We know that this has been a tough year for all and that the economy has affected some more than others, including the Kfeirian Reunion Foundation.  In particular, our Scholarship Fund is low and needs to be replenished as well as the General Fund that supports our Foundation activities.  Our inability to gather this year due to COVID-19, has made our need more immediate.

We are asking for member donations for direct support to the Kfeirian Reunion Foundation.  This year, due to our “Virtual” Reunion, instead of a face-to-face reunion, you will be saved the cost of registration fees, three nights in a hotel and travel costs.

Your gift may be designated for the General Fund or the Scholarship Fund, and will be used as you direct.  Making your gift to honor a family member or a friend or in memory of a loved one offers a wonderful way to honor them and support the reunion.

If you are questioning what amount to give, please consider an amount equal to an average registration fee of $150.  If you are able to give more, we are grateful for your generosity.  A gift in any amount will be greatly appreciated and put to good use.  Donors will be recognized on our website, Kfeir.com, on the 88th reunion page.

The choice is yours.  Your gift will actively help us keep the dream of our grandparents strong and help us reach our goal of 100 years of Kfeirian Reunions.

Thank you for considering our request to support our beloved Kfeirian Reunion.  Donating is easy, simply click on the link below and complete the form.

If you prefer, your donation check can be mailed to:

June 22, 2020 – Message from the Kfeirian Reunion Foundation Regarding the 2020 – 88th Reunion

Greetings Kfeirian Cousins,

As you watch the news, you are well aware of the COVID 19 Pandemic, infection progression and our need to adapt to the new realities related to social distancing and disease avoidance.

Our primary concern is the safety of our Kfeirian Reunion Foundation members and those preparing to host the 2020 Reunion in Huntington, WV.  Our Board of Trustees considered all options and unanimously voted to avoid an in-person gathering, placing every one’s safety above all.   However, the Reunion will go on!

We are busy making plans for the 2020, 88th Kfeirian Reunion, and it is going to be different than our usual gatherings.  Our plan is to gather “virtually” bringing events to you via Zoom.  We are working on the details to bring you a relaxed virtual experience.

We will share the schedule of events and how to participate in the reunion in the weeks ahead.  If you have a computer, IPad or smart phone, you can easily participate in the comfort of your own home.  In fact, we encourage families to participate together over Labor Day weekend.

Virtual Hospitality and Family Time will be a great hit and lots of fun as we make our own favorite cocktails and Lebanese snacks and share the news and gossip, like always.  We will be able to have our business meeting, vote on new members to the Board of Trustees and BINGO!

Planning for the 89th Kfeirian Reunion in 2021 is also underway and we are investigating several cities, such as Washington, DC, St. Augustine, FL, Myrtle Beach, SC and Charleston, SC.  The 90th Kfeirian Reunion will return to Huntington, WV, for a special reunion experience.

We have begun to recover from the impact of COVID 19.  Our hope is that these most challenging days are soon behind us, as well as the need for the many precautions required to protect us from the spread and effects of the disease.
More information will be heading your way, so stay tuned and stay well . . .

As always,
Sherry Mickel Parrish, President
